Psycho

Having a memory of someone is not always a good thing. If said person meant a lot to you and was harmless, then it is good for them to be on your mind. What if though, a person was evil. What if a person was so horrible that the thought of them makes you cringe. Should you still carry a pleasant memory with you, even if this person was so bad??

Lately it seems like whenever I begin to relax in my relationship, a memory pops up and ruins it.
I don't really understand why because I do not love this person, and I do not miss this person.
So, how is this thief stealing my dreams? Every night it is something new. Whether it is traumatic or pleasant, the re-occurrence is almost definite.

The relationship I have no is so good and pure. I feel so attached to the man I am with now. He is an angel sent here from the imaginary heaven. I have never met a man that treats me as good as he does. Every morning that I wake up with him there beside me, it feels like my life is complete. When I fall asleep next to him, I feel like I am finally safe. He is my entire world. I love every single awkward thing about him.

In saying all that, why do I wake up from dreams in tears because of my evil past? Why does this person haunt me? In my dreams, I feel attached to him and I know that I am not. I feel a longing for him when I know I have fallen completely away. What remains is ink. I have to remove it.

Banana Runts

How can something so simple in life like a banana runt make a difference in my life? The runt is just like in it's title.. a runt. Most banana runts are completely shaped like the shape of a real banana, the remaining runts appearing as half-nanners and fragments of what used to be. They are a bright yellow color that will just lure anyone in on the outer shell, but inside lies a white, chalky substance. I only assume that both the shell, and the "meat" of the runt provide the banana burst flavor. Once the candy piece has started to shrink, chewing it up is the obvious next step. Biting down on the runt presents itself as a problem. The runt is solid all the way through it's core. Sooner or later, the runt will wear down and no longer be. Chewing up the chalky banana flavored powder is just terribly delightful.

So why do I get frantic when offered this sacred treat? What is so good about such a simple sweet?

Problems With Mothers

I have SEVERAL problems with the way MOTHERS parent their children.
I can not speak for the way men raise their children because, alas, I am not a man.
Though, I am also not mother, I still have opinions on how children should be raised and handled by their mothers.

My number one problem is television is not a parent.
It is alright for mothers to get a break every now and again by letting her child(ren) watch tv.
It is NOT alright to sit your child in front of a television for hours upon end just so you do not have to deal with them. Some television is acceptable for children to watch, as in cartoons with morals and such.
If you are a parent and you find the cartoons your child(ren) watch entertaining, then there is a good chance your spawn should not be watching it.

Next, parents should follow through with disciplinary actions.
Too many times I have seen a child grounded and 20 minutes later allowed to be free.
Now, time spend in solitude is usually determined by the severity of the child(ren)s action, but that is exactly what it should entail.. SOLITUDE. A child is not in timeout if there is a television in their room, or other children present.
If a child is ban to a certain area of the house then be consistent in making them stay in that area.
If they are ban from television, then should not be allowed to watch later when they ask.
Children can not learn the term "consequence"  unless their parents teach them that, which everyone should know.

Every parent should try to teach manners.
Being raised in the south I have always used manners, or I try to use them on deserving people.
If a child older than the age of four addresses me in a rude manor I am just appalled. I believe that pleases and thank-yous are a must. People should also be spoken to with respect as in; Mr., Ms., Yes, Mam, and No, Sir.
A child should know that when an appropriate adult tells them no, it means no.
Being manipulative is one thing, being annoying is another.

I think parents should sensor things spoken/ done in front of children.
I am not a smoker, so I do not know the addiction as well as most. There is no way to tell a parent they can't smoke in front of their children.
I do believe though it shouldn't be a habit practiced religiously in front of children.
Believe it or not, tobacco is BAD, it can harm little lungs, and how can you tell a child not to do it if you are doing it in front of them.
If you do not want your three year old to spit out the work FUCK, then don't scream it when they are around. Accidents happen, but if you can control yourself in public and at church, then you can control yourself around listening ears. Though, I personally believe that a word is just that.. a word, it is not acceptable in today's society for a child to go around speaking like a sailor.
These are just a few examples, there are MANY more.
Also, sensor children's appearance.
This is mainly meant for ages 5-8, these are the ages when you still have to aid children in their dress code.
If children are allowed to wear "skimpy" clothing when younger (meaning if it was super sized and fit and 18 year old and looked skimpy) then obviously that is what they are going to want to wear at age 10, which is not acceptable in my opinion. A six year old should not dye their hair.
I have always loved the occasional highlight and purple peek-a-boo do, but it looks horrible on child.
Make-up is a woman thing, not a child thing, unless it is the pretend make-up MADE for children.

Be fearful and keep them away from the internet and video games.
There are a lot of sites designed for children where a parent can "lock" the page with a password so that the child can not navigate away from the page. That is excellent. Those sites are also educational.
The thing to be fearful for is when the children learn how to read. There is so much information on the internet that children should not be exposed to till much older in their lives.
Children are very curious and it is better for them to gather information from their family, book, and educational dvds.
Video games can ruin peoples lives. They not only make children unsociable, but, it occupies time and wastes money.
Like some exceptions, a few games that are educational or even just something simple are alright.

Children should always expect their parents to prepare a healthy meal.
Children and growing humans, they need nutrition.
At a certain age I do believe a child should know how to open a can and fix their own food and snack, but until then having a equal and balanced meal is essential.
There is a chart of food groups for a reason. Children should not eat a bag of chips for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
I know mothers can't cook a nice meal every night due to work, school, and other children.
Whatever the case is, a good meal twice a week at least is what I think should be supplied to a child.
On the other nights there are box dinners and different foods, designed for children, that have all the things in it that a child needs to grow properly.
I also extremely hate soft drinks. Water is what most of the human body is made up of so I believe that is what we should we put back in it.
Juice, milk, tea, and koolaid, there are all kinds of drinks that aren't contaminated with acid and caffeine.
Treats and snacks are alright, but healthy GOOD tasting snacks are available for people who seek it.
Unbelievably, Burger King has opted to produce a healthy children's menu for people who would prefer it.

These are all my personal opinions.
If any of these upset you, then maybe my blog isn't for you.
If you like it, there is more to come.

Trampoline.

So, I am just going to jump into it.
My name is Katherine, but everyone calls me Kate.
I am dating an amazing man, Tyler, who I constantly complain about. I love him with all my heart but he drives me up the wall. I have family problems a little more extreme than most in my area, but it can be dealt with. I live with my grandmother if that says anything. I love cartoons, movies, and music. I try to keep up with myself from day to day but it doesn't always work.
